Rain returns to central Louisiana.
A significant disturbance aloft and a surface cold front teamed up to bring a general rainfall event to central Louisiana Thursday night and Friday. Most people said they needed the rain.
Modest amounts fell in this episode. The totals were limited by the progressive nature of the system, the lack of training, and the benign wind pattern aloft.

The rain may not be over yet-a stray shower or sprinkle may linger into Saturday morning on the back side of the upper feature as it pulls away to the east. After that, little rain is expected through the middle of next week.
