Jamarcus Fitzpatrick, nicknamed “Fitz”, began his journey with KALB as a sports intern in 2018, and officially became part of the team in 2019.
In February 2019, Fitz became KALB's weekend producer and worked his way into a sports anchor by summer 2019.
Fitz was born in Shreveport, LA where he attended C.E. Byrd High School. There he discovered a passion for sports broadcasting. After graduating in 2015, he began pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at Louisiana College in Convergence Media with a concentration in sports media. He graduated in May 2019.
As a student at LC, he was a coach’s captain of the LC Wildcat football team (2015-2018), and served as a sports reporter for Wildcats Media. During his senior year, he founded The Den TV, which is a branch of LC’s sports media. Through this newfound branch, Fitz has been able to mentor several students in the Convergence Media department at LC.
