Each week, KALB-TV and Hixson Autoplex will honor outstanding law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel that go above and beyond in our community. These men and women put their lives on the line every day to make sure our families are safe, making them true community heroes!

**Golden Shield recipients are nominated by leadership in each department or office. KALB-TV has connected with multiple agencies across central Louisiana to honor those in places like Rapides, Avoyelles, Grant, Vernon, and other surrounding parishes.
