ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Following Governor John Bel Edwards’ announcement that the state will be moving to a modified version of Phase 3, the Rapides Parish School Board has released details on its own Phase 3 transition plan.

RPSB says all middle and high school students will resume everyday attendance schedules no later than Friday, March 19. As they finalize the logistics for transportation and food service, please follow information from your child’s school for when he or she is to return to everyday classes.

All students enrolled in a 100% virtual program and making adequate academic progress are allowed to continue in the virtual program.

All prescribed safety precautions will be followed to the maximum extent possible. If your child is experiencing any COVID-like symptoms, you are asked to keep them home and have them tested.

The Re-Opening Rapides with a Strong Start plan is available on the RPSB website. There, you can find the plan and guidelines for schools transitioning to Phase 3.
