ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - SYNOPSIS: Our next storm system Sunday brings heavy rainfall and breezy conditions. A few storms may become severe. Prepare for the rainy pattern to continue through the middle of next week. Luckily by the end of next week, expect cooler and drier conditions to return.

TONIGHT... A few scattered showers and thunderstorms (40%) are possible. Lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Winds S 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

SUNDAY... Rain and storms (100%) are likely. A few strong to severe storms are possible. High temperatures 66-71°. Winds S 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in the morning becoming SE 5-10 mph in the afternoon.

*SEVERE THREAT: CENLA outlined in a marginal risk (1/5) for isolated severe thunderstorms. Main threats include damaging winds, isolated hail, and weak tornadoes, flash flooding possible. Rainfall amounts between 1-3″ with higher amounts possible.

MONDAY... Isolated showers (30%) with overcast skies. High temperatures 61-66°. Winds NE 5-10 mph.

TUESDAY... Scattered showers (60%) and cloudy skies. High temperatures 56-61°.

WEDNESDAY... Scattered showers (60%) and cloudy skies. High temperatures 51-56°.

THURSDAY... Thunderstorms (70%.) High temperatures 48-53°.

FRIDAY... Partly cloudy. Isolated showers (20%) possible. High temperatures 51-56°.

SATURDAY... Partly cloudy. A stray shower or two (10%) is possible. High temperatures 55-60°.
